<  Axle Shaft ???

If I paint the u-joint and axle shaft on the front axle does it make it stronger? I was thinking fluorescent green.

It needs to have a good epoxy primer first. If you do that its stronger than cromoly shafts!

I prefer hammertone paint for high stress areas. +1 for the clear coat for that added strength

1. tack weld the caps
2. POR-15 over everything, twice.
3. Electrical tape then Duct Tape around the ujoint/yokes
(that recipe almost sounds serious, but dont forget the clearcoat)

That stuff is out of my budget it`s all about the Rustoleum for me. Going to try the Electrical tape then Duct tape trick on my new Ten Factory axles. There was a big write up on that mod over on Pirate 4x4.
