I've been reading articles all over the web on the 8.8 swap into a TJ. Alot of people use ZJ rear e brake lines, or MORE offers a kit. But I don't want to spend the extra money on this shit.
I've read on Pirate that you can just use the existing E-brake off of the TJ and bend it around the hook on the caliper that pulls the parking shoes and use a cable clamp.
Anyone have any experience. _________________ President of Acer Offroad

the explorer 8.8 with disk brakes uses typical drum brakes for the E-brake. The arm is already there so find a way to pull it and u have an emergency brake.
I might have an old cable with the flare area busted off. Withy a lil McGyver move (clamp) u can attach directly to ur stock e brake lever.
whats it worth to ya? |
